LUCAS SILVA has confirmed his move to Inter Milan from Manchester United, according to reports in Italy.
Silva, who has struggled for form at Manchester United this season, is now set to join the Serie A side on a permanent basis.
The Brazilian midfielder has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford since he was linked with a move to Juventus earlier this month.
However, reports suggest that Silva's move will be subject to a medical examination by Inter's doctors.
Inter have also been linked with signing new signings like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo, but it remains to be seen whether they will be able to agree terms with their preferred clubs.
In a statement, Silva said: "I am very happy to sign for Inter and I want to thank everyone involved. It feels good to have returned to my home city and playing football again after two years."
Inter's president, Massimo Cellini,Ligue 1 Focus said: "We are thrilled to welcome Lucas back to Inter. He brings a lot of experience and talent to our squad and we look forward to working closely with him in the coming months."
Meanwhile, Inter's sporting director, Giuseppe Marotta, praised Silva's performances during his time at Manchester United, saying: "He has proven himself as a key player and has made an important contribution to the team."
It remains to be seen how Lucas Silva's move to Inter Milan will affect the current state of the Premier League, as well as any potential transfer news in other leagues. However, it's clear that the Portuguese midfielder is looking forward to joining a club that is consistently performing well and challenging for titles in Europe.
